South Tyrol Guest Pass

The South Tyrol Guest Pass facilitates exploring the region using public transport. It cannot be used for long-distance trains, the transport of bicycles and pets, or special bus lines. Pass holders must validate the pass before travelling. For timetable information, we are happy to assist at the reception, or we recommend using the Südtirolmobil app, which serves as a comprehensive travel companion.

Bus and train services in all of South Tyrol

Your South Tyrol Guest Pass allows you free use of the excellent South Tyrol bus and train network. Explore the region from Innichen to Lake Reschen and from Brenner to Trento. Note that only regional trains and local buses accept the South Tyrol Guest Pass.

Please scan your pass before boarding a train at one of the blue ticket machines. On buses, your ticket is validated directly and free of charge on board.

If you wish to bring a pet, please note that an additional ticket is required for its transport. The South Tyrolean transport association charges 15 cents per kilometre, and wearing a muzzle is mandatory.

The transport of a bicycle is allowed on specially marked trains and buses; a 7-Euro-day-pass must be purchased for this purpose. Are you looking for current timetables? Visit the Südtirolmobil site.

Cable cars

With your South Tyrol Guest Pass, you enjoy free access to the Gitschberg and the Jochtal cable cars once daily from 9th of May to 12th of July 2024 and again from 16th of September to 2nd of November 2024. In addition, the cable car connection from Mühlbach to Meransen is available all summer long without additional costs.
