Holiday activities
A paradise for active holiday makers
Meransen is a dream for activities out in the fresh air. Here, at 1,414 metres above sea level in a stunning panoramic location, it’s easy to leave daily life behind and our thoughts feel lighter. Meransen is one of the sunniest places in South Tyrol with no less than 280 days of sunshine (that’s around 3,000 hours) a year! You can look forward to beautiful mountain and summit tours in summer or skiing bliss on the slopes and cross-country ski trails in winter. And best of all, the free Almencard lets you use the public transport in the area from January 2023. You’ll receive it as soon as you check in at our panoramic hotel.
Summer vibes
Blooming Alpine meadows, thick forests, and plenty of hours of sunshine – doesn’t that sound like the perfect setting for your next mountain adventure? Look forward to idyllic hikes and summit tours, exciting bike tours, and relaxed Nordic walking tours on 2,512m-high Monte Cuzzo/Gitschberg, our local mountain and the “king of the southern Zillertal Alps”. Here, you’ll find a dream panorama extending as far as Bruneck to the east and Brixen to the southwest. If you look carefully, you can even spot two of the Three Peaks in the distance! So, you see, whatever you do around Meransen, it’s guaranteed to be a unique experience.
Cruising over the mountains
The South Tyrolean mountains are also perfect for exploring by motorbike or car. Cruise over stunning passes and admire the awe-inspiring view. Tours through Val Pusteria/Pustertal, over Gardena/Grödner pass, Sella pass, Pordoi pass, Campolongo pass, Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch pass, and Giovo/Jaufen pass are especially popular. After an exciting day on the road, covered parking awaits you here at our hotel. We’ll also be happy to give you tour tips and provide you with a packed lunch (for a fee) for your full-power adventures on the Dolomites passes.
